Biomechanical analysis

Biomechanics sits between engineering and medicine: it asks what forces reached the body, and whether those forces are consistent with the documented injury.

We calculate occupant or rider kinematics from the reconstruction, determine the loading that reached the relevant body region, and compare it against published human tolerance data.

Our biomechanics work is grounded in graduate training in the field and, for helmeted head injury, in direct laboratory experience — one of our engineers is an ISO-accredited helmet testing technician under the DOT standard and has tested hundreds of motorcycle and bicycle helmets for both certification and forensic investigation.
