Accident reconstruction

We collect the available evidence, apply the scientific method, and produce an accurate account of the sequence of events leading to a crash. Our approach reveals the inputs and forces involved, and what the vehicles did before and after the incident.

Our engineers reconstruct collisions involving passenger vehicles, heavy trucks and buses, motorcycles, bicycles, and pedestrians. We perform mechanical inspections for component failure, driveability, and out-of-service conditions on heavy vehicles as readily as on light-duty passenger cars.

Three-dimensional computer simulations let us test impact configurations and speeds against the physical evidence, even for complex cases such as rollovers, hydroplaning, and loss-of-control events.

Our reconstructions draw on 3D forensic mapping, digital media analysis, event data recorder recovery, and visibility and human factors analysis.
